Cape House Addition.

An addition to provide more living space and open contemporary rooms to a pristine South Shore Nova Scotian Cape House.  The design took pains to not disrupt the symmetry and form of the original heritage structure.  The new wing runs parallel to the old, offset behind it.  The wing is dominated by an airy library/gallery with a large open corner window. An interwoven composition of windows and built-in bookshelves sits within whitewashed wood-clad walls and ceiling.  The project also included a new kitchen, two bathrooms, an office and a new entry.
